[clue] [TALK] I have been told ( privately ) to shut my face.

Once again I have to apologize.
While it is true that someone censored me ( or attempted to ) .... it was not about contributing comments regarding the server. It was because the censor said I was being too personal regarding some of my comments. So those who thought I was told I could not participate in the server discussion ( server , DRUPAL , mail-list ) were mislead by me.

What has happened is that I have seen evidence that the fate of the server is being discussed privately ( which is okay ) and the fate of the server is being decided privately ( not okay by me ). I looks to me that going to publicly announced meetings is a waste of time. Lots of talk and no action. If attending meetings does not let one contribute ( anything but hot air ) .... then why go ? For the comradeship ? To be a wonk ? Maybe.......

Anyway ..... we had meetings ..... one was cancelled because 'the leader' could not make it ..... we talked ... I thought we chose some directions. I was wrong. So I have chosen to look for other ways to contribute to the CLUE concept which OPEN SOURCE and sharing.

I don't have any problems with you making decisions, but I find it
unacceptable for anyone to tell a contributing member to "shut up and
go away". Obviously, such misfires are not under your control. You'd
think that some people could find more adult ways of expressing their
opinions.

I'm still of the opinion that available memory is a major part of the
problem. Given the newness of drupal7, I doubt that anyone has really
checked out the performance/bugs when running with a minimal memory
configuration. Either the problems are endemic with Drupal7 (memory
leaks) , or they will disappear when running with more memory. I seem
to remember reading that Chris Fedde experienced a lot fewer problems
with drupal7 and more memory. The more I read about drupal7, the more
I believe that it is indeed a memory hog (confirmed by many drupal
experts).

Cost is indeed important, but we need more memory if we continue down
the chosen path. See you there.
