Dear Dave,

     Thanks for chirping in! It sounded like you were talking about Linux:RUTE by Paul Sheer. Not about the Linux Programming Environment. I looked at the RUTE exposition book, again, and while before it seemed too complicated, now it seems to make more sense.

     Well, the first few chapters make sense. After that it gets so complicated.
