Windows95/98
and does not support the newer versions of Windows 2000/XP. It's supposed
to be much
faster and less resource intensive that VMWare but does require a Windows
license.
VMWare used to push a "lite" version 2.0 that was good for Windows 95/98
only that was
about half the cost of the full version. I had called on it and understand
that since they have
released 3.0 that the "lite" version is no longer available for sale. The
customer service
representative said [probably the company line] that the "lite" version was
buggy, had
demonstrated problems, and was not well received so they pulled support.
Along these lines - does anyone know much about Lindows and how this
contrasts/compares
to the VMWare & Win4Lin products?
