Back on 3 Jun, William Kimball posted about his popauth3 application. 
His app scans log files and makes mail rules, I think.  Maybe the two of 
you can collaborate (and modularize the "scan the log files" and "do 
something cool" parts to make something more extensible).

I don't know, but I got the distinct impression his app really had two 
distinct pieces and that sounds like your app overlaps his somewhat.
