I'm writing from work, and thus using MS Outlook.  I have tried my best
to configure Outlook to not send HTML, but I'll see what it actually
looks like when I read my post.

Some have mentioned Pine as an alternative.  Great program.  I used it
until I discovered Gnome's Balsa.  I installed it with a RedHat RPM,
with only a few dependencies.  The application is stable and
easy-to-use.
