Hey, my Linux box is very user-friendly -- once I beat it into submission
;-).
The biggest reason, I think, for the "user friendly" issue is that linux
hides so much less from you than Windoze does. And, since there are more
choices, there is more complexity. I mean, hey, Windoze doesn't even have
file permissions (at least not the single-user versions). I once had to
wrangle with permissions on files on a share on an NT server. Man, that
GUI thing for doing that was a mess. Also, there are some software
packages that are very user friendly. Others really suck.
