Why is it necessary?
What is the rationale, other than what is stated in the article?
What about TABOR? Does this affect colorado consumers?
What about independant consultants like me? Doesn't this put an additional
burden of filing the 'service tax' -- when I currently only have to pay
income tax?
How much money will be generated?
How will the legislature use the new revenue?
Why not tax all services? (Are all services taxed except software
consulting? I do not seem to pay for tax on lawn services, for example)
Won't this deter 'high-tech' companies from locating to colorado? -- meaning
less jobs for us?

As a person who already pays more than his fair share of taxes, I do think
that 'any' new taxes are bad without a concrete use of the collected money.
This is why I like being able to vote on new taxes (due to TABOR). It puts
the decision in my hands. BTW - I will vote for new taxes (e.g., education
in my school district) if they have a reasonable use.
